We’re not sure if SEMA is a trade show trying to be a spectacle or a spectacle disguised as a trade show. But the annual automotive mega show has grown to insane proportions. Yea, the main purpose is to foster business between manufacturers, dealers, and distributors, but as of 2018 it’s become much more. Celebrity autograph sessions? Yep, they are everywhere including some of the biggest gearhead stars from Motor Trend, Velocity, and Discovery. Show cars? Yep, some of the nicest and most insane cars in the country debut here. Bright lights? Check. Polished brand ambassadors (sometimes referred to as booth girls in the old non-PC days)? Check. Miles and miles of the hottest automotive widgets on planet Earth? Check.

Add it all up and the SEMA show, held each year, right around Halloween, in Las Vegas, Nevada, is legendary among those the love all things automotive. It’s no wonder that so many try so hard to wiggle their way into this “closed to the public” event.

On top of everything else SEMA is a huge car show with thousands of rides shoved in every corner, inside and outside, of the Las Vegas Convention Center. And, like most shows, this one was thick with Chevys. So with camera in hand we roamed the seemingly endless halls to bring you the cool, the odd, and the stunning bits of SEMA 2018. Oh, and because we know you’re just a little bit curious we also shot some of the non-Chevy offerings. After all, even though we know you bleed Chevy orange, we’re pretty sure you don’t mind seeing how the other side lives. Besides, sometimes it’s good for a chuckle.
