There’s Corvette gold in them thar Black Hills of South Dakota, and Vette magazine thanks to the folks at Chevrolet Performance got a firsthand look from behind the wheel of a brand new 2019 Z51 Corvette.
The occasion was the 47th Annual Black Hills Corvette Classic put on by the Sioux Falls Corvette Club to celebrate America’s sports car, and 2018 marked the 47th year of the Black Hills Corvette Classic. We believe the scenic beauty packed event has to be one of the longest running Corvette celebrations of its kind.
The first meet-up was in Beresford, South Dakota at Jerry’s Corvette Center where Barry Konken handed us the keys to the Blade Silver Z51 with less than 50 miles on its odometer.
As witnessed by the accompanying photo gallery the Black Hills Corvette Classic draws Vettes from all over the United States, and Canada and most of the owners go that extra step with a personalized license plate. Here’s a smattering of what Vette spotted from Sioux Falls to Spearfish and all points in between including Mt. Rushmore.
Please stay tuned because we’ll plenty more coverage appearing in the following days from the 47th Annual Black Hills Corvette Classic.
