When the LS Fest events go down, you can pretty much expect to see a high concentration of Camaros—a good thing if you are into Camaros. And the cool thing is that there’s a good chance you’ll see all six generations being represented. The only requirement to play at the LS Fest is that they are LS- or LT-powered ... hence the LS portion of the LS Fest event name.
That was exactly the case at the 2018 Holley LS Fest West event held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway over the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Whether you are a fan of the ’60’s variety or one who gravitates toward the later-model hot rods, such as the sixth-generation ZL1, it was a Camaro lovers muscle car heaven.
To break it down, there was an abundance of LS-swapped first- and second-gens tearing up the asphalt. Although the third-and fourth-gen representation was a little on the light side, we managed to find a few. Fifth- and sixth-gens ranged from stock SSs to top dog ZL1s. We won’t name names, but we know of at least one person who rented an SS to join in on the fun while their regular project sat on the sidelines this time around as it was going through some engine issues. We’d say that’s a pretty hard-core LS Fest enthusiast.
