Chevy’s hit the ground running on day one at the 48th Annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals, with tri-fives and sixties muscle leading the way.
Our cameras were loaded with fresh CF cards, so we cruised the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, to gather up some images of the early hot rod and muscle car enthusiasts staking claim to the best spots on the show grounds.
A quick lap through the Builder’s Showcase also featured a couple interesting rides including a totally custom 1969 Camaro that has the rear third of ’65-’69 Corvair along with pieces borrowed from a Corvette and a billet grille bar from a ’57 Chevy. The car is powered by a 500hp Chevy W-series 409 stroked to 472 ci.
From there it was back to the front of the show grounds to capture more Kentucky-flavored hot rods and muscle cars including some cool Novas, Chevelles, Camaros, and we even came across a few cool Corvettes and big cars. For an asking price of $20,000 you can have a shortened 1955 Chevy.
Check in tomorrow as make a trip to the autocross with a full gallery of Chevys wheeling their way around a sea of orange cones.
