One of the biggest, if not the biggest, Chevrolet-centric shows in the country is the annual Chevrolet Nationals in Carlisle Pennsylvania. Each year tens of thousands of Chevy fans make the pilgrimage to Carlisle to check out around a thousand of the coolest, rarest, and most badass GM rides from across the country. This show is massive with both indoor and outdoor areas covering just about every GM manufactured ride you could imagine. This year, in addition to the 50 Years Of Camaro display there was a 40-year Monza Mirage showcase. Building T hosted TV celebrities from automotive shows along with a 12-cylinder LS engine stuffed into a crazy custom Camaro. On the other side of the hall the first Camaro ever built stood near the 5 millionth one churned out by GM. To say there was a lot of Chevy heritage on display would be an epic understatement.
Outside UMI Performance hosted an autocross course where rides were given to bowtie fans and Saturday had the obligatory burnout contest along with the ever popular bikini contest. With Chevrolet back hosting the event their newest ZL1 1LE Camaro was on display along with a full stable of Chevy performance cars. In fact, Chevrolet brought quite a few of their engineers to the event so they could answer questions from the fans. Last year had some issues with rain, but this time around the weather was perfect for the three day event, which helped contribute to the record crowd in attendance.
The show is already getting ready for next year, so if you’re a Chevy fan and like checking out GM rides of every shape, style, and color then make sure to put this event on your to-do list! For more info check out www.carlisleevents.com
