Spring is here, and that means the car show season is getting into full swing across the country and one of the kick-off events is the Southeast Street Rod Nationals in Tampa Florida. Held starting on March 31st and rumbling through April 2nd, this event was packed with well over 1,000 muscle cars, street machines, customs, and street rods. This event has been going on for 30 years now, so it’s pretty popular and a must-see deal if you’re in the area.
As expected there were record crowds filling the fairgrounds and they certainly had a ton of stuff to check out from the pre-1949 street rods to all-out customs and pro-touring muscle cars. The National Street Rod Association has being putting on events like this for decades and it’s amazing when you see the quality of rides that show up to show off at the event.
In addition to all the polished and posed Chevys on hand there was also an autocross course set up for those that want to drive their rides as God intended. This worked out well for the thousands of spectators since the got a chance to how well these classics can handle when stuffed with modern suspension parts.
So, in case you missed the event, here’s gallery to check and we hope to see you there next year!
