The Sacramento Autorama might be most well-known for its large array of hot rods, customs, and streets rods, but lucky for us that wasn’t all of the cars on display. We noticed that down every isle there were at least one or two pristine examples of Chevrolet muscle so we took it upon ourselves to scour every row of every building in search of Chevys.
As it turns out, there were more than just a few bow ties to be found at the 2017 Sacramento Autorama. In the main halls we found a handful of corvettes, first gen Camaros, and a smattering of tri-fives. In fact, if there was one genre of Chevrolet muscle that stood out the most it was ’55 to ’57s. Two of the six custom contenders were tri-fives with one being a 1955 Chevy 210 and the other a 1957 Chevy Nomad. There was even a whole room dedicated to tri-fives housing about a dozen cars with styles ranging from gasser to restomod to Pro Street.
On Saturday, the outside Drive-In, sponsored by Street Rodder Magazine, brought an even wider array of Chevrolets including Chevelles, Novas, Camaros, and even more tri-fives.
