Every November gearheads look forward to an event the way most people look forward to turkey and pumpkin pie. Yep, it’s fall and that means it’s time for the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals to roll into Rosemont, Illinois for the final big show of the year! Originally this show was all about Corvettes, but years ago the fine folks that put it on decided to open the party up to all sorts of muscle cars. As such the venue is thick with Chevrolets of all shapes and styles. Restored, gassers, pro-touring, street machine, you name it and it’s most likely lurking about someplace. If you want to see some of the nicest survivor and restored cars in the county, this is the place to be.
As a holdover from its days as a Corvette event the judging is pretty tough, and some of the rarest Chevys in the land show up to shimmer and shine under the lights. There’s even a whole category of barn finds on display! But what we were really diggin’ were the vintage drag cars. The Show is sponsored by Mecum Auctions, which makes sense since we’re pretty sure checking all these sweet rides would make anyone want to buy on for themselves. So grab a mug of your favorite warm winter beverage and check out this gallery of over 140 sweet Chevrolets.
