The Mecum Auction Company just finished its 22nd and final 2015 auction in Austin, Texas (December 11-12). The 2-day event completes Mecum’s successful season and preparations are underway for another busy schedule in 2016. Mecum held its first 2015 auction in January in Las Vegas and crisscrossed the country before ending in Austin, Texas. This is our third 2015 Mecum price check (Kissimmee and Indianapolis were the other two), so this report will help you trend current Corvette prices. Almost 600 cars were offered for sale and 56 (9%) were Corvettes and 31 sold. Three Corvettes were among the top ten sellers of the event. Lot S136 was a 1959 restomod that sold for $132,500 and placed fourth in the Austin’s top ten. Lot S112.1 was a Sebring Silver 1963 Stingray fuel-injected coupe that sold for $130,000 and placed fifth. S178 was another restomod, based on a 1964 convertible and powered by an LS3. It sold for $102,500. This last Corvette placed 9th in the event’s top ten sellers.

Here is a breakdown of the low/high prices of Corvettes that sold at the Austin Mecum Auction.
