Can you smell it? Ahh, yes…there’s nothing like smelling the thick vapors of freshly roasted tires, noxious exhaust fumes, and high-octane race fuel. Welcome to Holley Performance Products LS Fest, held at Beech Bend Raceway, in beautiful Bowling Green, Kentucky. The first weekend in September (7th-9th) was the place to be, to find anything and everything with an GM LS series engine. From an engine swap competition to the Show-N-Shine gathering, hoards of rides and crowds of LS junkies were abundant. Spectators blended in with the competition, intermingling with like-minded performance fanatics, checking out vendor booths, and watching the drift and autocross competitions. Let’s not forget the drag racing. Every generation of Camaro attended, along side various Corvette body styles, fast Formulas, and everything in between…all with an LS of course! Want a break from the competition, and sun? Grab a pre-outlined cruise map from the Holley stand, and snatch your camera to check off scavenger hunt items, while soaking in the fresh Kentucky air on the open country back roads. Check out some of our coverage below, and plan for next year. We’ll be there!
