Since 1965, Bristol Dragway has seen a lot of things. It's flown the NHRA, AHRA and IHRA banners, and nearly every one of their champions has competed there. Even so, this legendary venue had never seen a Super Chevy event of this size and magnitude as it did the past September. With literally hundreds and hundreds Chevy engines singing their song, thunder rolled through the hills for a full weekend.

There was a massive swap meet, pretty girls, good food and all the noise and tire smoke that the people wanted. Under the Legends of Thunder Valley banner (with names such as Don Garlits, Sox & Martin and Warren Johnson) Chevy racers competed in multiple E.T. bracket, DOT, Footbrake and True Street classes, and also enjoyed a huge Saturday night thrill show. Races were won, personal records were set and trophies were won.

In the car show area, the fans got to walk among some legendary Chevy vehicles. Whether you liked them stock, slightly modified or all-out wild, the show machines were off the hook. There were seven Bow Ties of such quality they were selected for the prestigious Gold Class. There were national champions, a Riddler award winner, and numerous previous Super Chevy feature cars.

With little doubt, the 2013 edition of the Super Chevy show was a spectacle that will be long remembered and surely savored!
