Sometimes our shows get an unwanted visit from Mother Nature. She shows up bringing crummy weather in tow. Unfortunately, she decided to visit this year's Super Chevy Show at Gateway Motorsports Park. The track is located in Madison, Illinois, just a few miles east of St Louis, and it's home to the sixth Super Chevy Show of the season. The two-day event got was a mix of sunshine in the morning and then by Saturday afternoon we had rain, precipitation, drizzle, hail, liquid sunshine, wet stuff from the sky, whatever you want to call it. It was a bummer. Luckily, there is a covered area where the show cars could seek refuge. There was enough sunshine on both days to let the judges look over show cars, the racers blast the quarter, and editors take a bunch of pictures. Bad weather aside, the event was still a great time, and will be back next year.
