Some of the finest Bow Ties from all over the country truly turned Bristol Dragway into Thunder Valley at the Super Chevy Show (September 27-29). Cars winners came from as far away as Minnesota! Our group of terminally picky ISCA Show judges selected seven cars our of the hundreds on hand for the Gold Class—a distinction only reserved for the finest Chevys in the world. Three of the Gold Class selectees were Tri-Fives, including a Riddler-winning ’55 Bel Air and a brand-new ’56 210 built by the father-son team of Joe and Josh Bailey. The show field was packed with everything from stock muscle cars and classics to ’70s-style customs and pro touring/g-machines. Pro Stock is also alive and well in the South.
