On September 21st, the 8th Annual Chip Foose Edition Braselton Bash was held in Braselton, Georgia, and tens of thousands of dollars were raised for the Hot Rodders Children's Charity. Though the weather was less than ideal - damp and grey - the spirit and support of those involved made the day a huge success.
The event took place at YearOne's headquarters in north Georgia with cars of all years, makes, and models competing to take home the coveted Foose Select award, which was awarded by the legend Chip Foose himself. There was also a Best of Show award in the Participant Vote category.
It came as no surprise this year that the winner of the Foose Select award would be a gorgeous 1967 Chevy Camaro owned by Jami Igo of Gillette, Wyoming. Powered by a late-model LS-series engine, the understated Camaro featured black chrome treatment and meticulous detail making it a deserving winner.
Meanwhile, a 1957 Chevy took home the Best of Show award for the second year in a row. Frank DeLorenzo brought the stunning Chevy from Seneca, South Carolina, and it proved to be a real head-turner.
In the end, all proceeds went to the Hot Rodders Children's Charity, which has been a supporter of a number of important causes throughout the years. This event benefited the Progeria Research Foundation with a total donation of $87,200.13, meaning that to date, HRCC has donated more than $1 million to the Foundation over the past eight years - an incredible contribution to a worthwhile cause.
YearOne and HRCC would like to thank all who participated in the event and we can't wait to see the event grow even larger next year!
