Holley LS Fest 2013 has come and gone and we had an absolute blast! The three day event at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, was much larger than in previous years and the dyno competition numbers prove it! We had almost 60 cars compete to take first, second, and third place titles in two classes - Power Adder and Naturally Aspirated. The dyno ran throughout the day Saturday and Sunday on a first-come, first-serve basis. Redline Motorsports' own Matt Bell did a great job keeping tabs on each car throughout both days. The results are IN! Taking third in the Naturally Aspirated class with 485 horsepower was a 2006 Chevy Corvette owned by Chance Tozer of Springfield, Illinois. Second place belongs to Drew Tyler (Lewisport, Kentucky), with a 516 horsepower 2001 Chevy Camaro SS. And the winner, with 542 horsepower, is Anthony Cooper (Empire, Alabama) with a blue 2002 Chevy Camaro! The top three Power Adder winners boasted a bit more power, to say the least. Coming in with 839 horsepower was Rob Melcher's turbocharged and nitrous-equipped 2002 GMC Sierra 5.7L out of Ladson, South Carolina. With 19 added horses bringing it to 858, Joshua Tyrell's Vortech-supercharged 2002 Chevy Corvette slid into second place coming from Susser, Wisconsin. First place belonged to a turbocharged LS2 engine housed in a blue 2001 Pontiac Firehawk with 859 horsepower, owned by Ian Smith out of York, Pennsylvania, beating Tyrell out by a single horsepower. Check out all of the results from the Super Chevy and ERL-sponsored Dyno Challenge of LS Fest 2013 and stay tuned for an upcoming video of the Shootout!
