Saturday Coverage /// Second Day at Goodguys 16th PPG Nationals
Columbus, Ohio is in full swing for the Goodguys 16th PPG Nationals. We’re in our second full day on the fairgrounds covering the show and have lots of updates on today’s action, specifically with the winners of the Goodguys 2013 Sponsor Shootout Autocross. The special four-round, 12-car single elimination format ‘Shootout features some of the nation’s most accomplished drivers representing all 12 national Goodguys AutoCross series sponsors.

This shooutout involves twelve major sponsors duking it out to claim their win. Drivers entered include Mark Turner (’69 Camaro, AFCO), Stacy Tucker (’69 Camaro, AutoMeter), Phil Gerber (’70 Chevy C-10, Roadster Shop), Kyle Tucker (’70 Camaro, Detroit Speed), Brad Coomer (’70 Chevy C10, Rocket Racing Wheels), Rob McGregor (’69 Chevy C10, Hurst Shifters), Bret Voelkel (’33 Ford, Ridetech), Cheryl Herrick (’67 Chevy Nova, Jet Hot), Josh Leisinger (’70 Camaro, Summit Racing), Jimi Day (’69 AMX, Optima Batteries), Brian Finch (’71 Camaro, BF Goodrich) and Ryan Matthews (’66 Mustang, JRI Shocks). When it was all said and done, Kyle Tucker from Detroit Speed and Engineering rose to the occasion and won the top spot.
