This is your chance to have fun and sharpen your skills with Pro Touring and Street Cars at one of the best racing facilities in the country. The Heidts Performance Car Challenge returns May 11-12, 2013 to the Autobahn Motorsport Country Club in Joliet, Illinois hosted by the American Street Car Series staff.
The Heidts Automotive Group (Heidts, Kenny Brown Performance, and Alston Racing) will kick off the event at their headquarters in Wauconda, Illinois, on Friday May 10th with a participant BBQ and plant tour. Following the tour, participants will cruise back to the host hotel in Joliet, Illinois, near the track to prepare for the weekend's festivities.
Saturday competitors will have access to the Autobahn Country Club North Track to test their vehicles and driving skills on the 1.8 mile technical circuit. The Autocross will feature an intense track outlined by tightly packed cones that participants race through against the clock.
As an added bonus, racers will participate in a special test of driving skill called the Speed Stop Squared Competition. The event will push the limits with a brake test, drag race and autocross, sure to entertain.
As a Saturday-only event, Heidts will offer an Autocross Driving School taught by top Pro Touring level drivers for the first 20 applicants who sign up. In addition to Saturday's driving events, there will be a car show judged by top industry builders.
On Sunday, racers return to Autobahn to continue driving the North. Throughout the weekend, spectators and participants alike will meet with some of the most prominent vendors and manufacturers in the industry along the HPCC manufacturers' midway.
