Thank you for supporting GM High-Tech Performance in our quest to push the limits of the LS1. GMHTP has been at the forefront of this radical engine's development and evolution since its inception, and seeks to bring its readers the most in-depth information on the latest technology, including comprehensive installs and tests, on not only Gen III/IVs-but all GM EFI late- model applications. We specialize in third, fourth, and fifth-gen F-bodies as well as covering the rest of GM's late-model family, including several models you won't see anywhere else. GMHTP is also chock full of hot features, buyer's guides, parts comparisons, drag and handling tests, chassis and engine dyno testing, and drag shoot-outs. We pride ourselves on being the number one magazine for LS enthusiasts, so it should come as no surprise that GMHTP has been the presenting magazine for the best LS event in the world since its creation by the NMCA and GM Performance Parts.
Despite a floundering economy, each year has managed to be better than the last, and now with the release of the 2010 Camaro-we can only foresee this event getting larger. In addition to increased coverage in GMHTP for 2009, we have also been planning a special treat for the 3rd annual event-a 2010 Camaro Shootout. This GMHTP-sponsored portion of the event will have the fastest street-going fifth-gens pitted against each other in a heads-up race. We are pleased to give the new platform a venue to show its potential, while also promoting the magazine and give 2010 owners a chance to be immortalized on our pages. In addition to regular event coverage, we will also be awarding the winner a feature article in the magazine. The top 2010 Camaro entries in True Street will be chosen for a Sunday run-off, and be given official LSX Shootout shirts and subscriptions to the magazine. The winner also stands to gain an LSX block courtesy of Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center, the premiere source for GMPP and GM parts in the country. If you have a 2010 and want to show that you're top dog-then come out to Memphis Motorsports Park October 15-18.
Whether you have a 2010 Camaro or an LS-powered '69 Camaro, there is no better place to be than the LSX Shootout. The car show attracts all of the wildest LS swaps and cleanest late models, the racing will push the limits of what seems possible, and the manufacturers' midway will have all of the hottest new LS parts on the market. Every year the Shootout has been the place to be for LS enthusiasts and is home to a virtual who's who. Don't miss out!
