How hot was it? The Texas sun had a grip on everyone's throat and the ground-poundin' Nitro Coupes had a grip on the launch pad at the Christmas tree. With bracket racers, junior dragsters, jet cars, and pro coupes, the launching pad at the Baytown Racetrack was never slow. The staging lanes were always a flurry of activity and so were the pits. Besides all the drag racing action that a person can see, some of the hottest Chevys that roam East Texas and Louisiana were also in attendance. Far and wide, big and small, they showed up in droves: street rods, musclecars, pan draggers, pickups, and the all important Super Chevy fanatic. These kinds of events are a great place to bring the whole family, have some fun and introduce the next generation to the V-8-powered musclecar. You have a choice at the Super Chevy show, relaxing and catching up with old friends or making new ones, you can browse through the vendors at the Swap Meet, or sit in the stands and plug your ears while the cars grab their gears. With so many choices laid before you, the result will always be a fun a time and memories to bring home. And remember what happens here, doesn't stay here.
