At an early age D.J. grew up at the racetrack, watching his father compete in various series across the United States. When he was old enough to attend racing school, D.J. enrolled in Skip Barber Racing School, Panoz Racing School, and the BMW Performance Driving School. After competing in multiple Skip Barber Race Series events, it was time to move toward one of the most competitive series in the United States. In 2011, D.J. entered to compete in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, first driving the Automatic Racing E46 M3. In 2012 he switched to the beefier Ford Boss 302r Mustang. In 2013 he began driving for Rebel Rock Racing, in the Porsche 911 GTS, after meeting Grammy Award winning producer Jim Jonsin. Aside from his racing background, D.J. has a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds a commercial pilot certificate with a multi-engine add-on, and an instrument rating. While not flying for a living, he will often still fly for fun. D.J.’s passion lies in motorsports and the auto industry, and he is currently the Associate Editor for the GM High-Tech Performance magazine. An adrenaline junkie at heart, he looks forward to future motorsports endeavors.
