It's not hard to define today's true musclecars when seeing a ride like this well-equipped '00 Camaro Super Sport. At first glance, this Camaro looks very stock (except for the addition of the Z06 wheels), but upon closer inspection, the upgrades start popping out. In fact, this is exactly what Steve Rupp wanted when he purchased his millennium cruiser.

First off, understand that Steve paid his dues way back in high school with a '64-1/2 Mustang, then quickly attained an undying love for First- and Second-Generation Camaros, including a '67 RS and a '71 RS/SS. With that kind of experience, Steve set his goal at having a Camaro that could hook corners, snap his neck back at take-off, and hold its own next to any other discriminating car show winner. One of his favorite aspects of this car is being able to jump in and fly to Vegas comfortably, while not feeling the least bit intimidated by any other car on the road. To achieve building his multi-purpose driver, Steve started by collecting an endless array of aftermarket performance goodies (just wait until you see the Tech Specs on the next page) from bumper to bumper, including horsepower uppers and carbon fiber. There isn't really any part of Steve's Camaro that hasn't had an upgrade or two. With this in mind, "Modern Muscle" isn't just the title of this story but also a peek into some of the hottest in late-model styling and brute force.
